crochet tension conundrum

I am crocheting squares for a blanket.

The required tension is 18 stitches and 16 rows to 10cm, but I am getting 19 stitches and 14 rows.

On one hand I should go up a size to get the right number of stitches, but on the other should go down a size to get the right number of rows.

Or do I say stuff that, it's only squares for a blanket and it will be the size it ends up.

Your thoughts please happy hookers of mumsnet...

You say stuff it and the blanket will be fine :) I rarely check tension on crochet unless its clothes and then I work to the required size unless the tension is waaaay off
