I am desperate for this quilt, as we are planning to name our baby son Noah...and do his room in Noah's ark theme.

I've searched Google until my eyes popped and can't find it anywhere, it was a chance picture that showed up one time. Can't find the maker and am now thinking it was a one-off

Anyone handy with quilting that would make it for me? No grandmas in my family!

Happy to pay whatever the going rate is as it's perfect!!

you could look on etsy (US site) or folksy (smaller UK version)

JoJo Mamen Bebe did a Noah's Ark range might be worth looking for on ebay?

moocowme · 31/08/2010 12:31

Try finding a quilter on Etsy that does commisions. I would offer but am up to my eyeballs in projects for an upcoming craft fair! When do you want it for?

Starberries · 31/08/2010 21:32

Hi gorm, not needed until january 2011, any availability before then?

Aw, that is a VERY sweet quilt. Seems to be quite simple and possibly from a kit (?).

I would happily volunteer, but I live in America, so shipping would be exorbitant Sad

Starberries · 31/08/2010 21:55

Maren, my family lives in the States, we are actually going there next week until the 18th, I know that is extremely short notice - could you do by then? If not, we make it there at least twice a year.

Oh, I think that might be a bit short. I have no doubt about the top, but serious doubts that I would be able to finish the quilting and binding by then.

Send me an email (marenmj at gmail dot com) and let me know what you would expect from it, ie size, and I can tell you more Grin

Have emailed you x

i have just been making t-shirts and things with N O A H across them and other things like that.

i did not know there was a market for noah stuff. I have not made anything recently as I did not want to just throw things out when he outgrows them since I had put the effort into making them especially for him.

I think I shall make two or three of everything and put the excess on etsy or ebay. NOAH's shop - everything for your little Noah.

Starberries · 01/09/2010 14:31

That would be fab! Please let me know if you do, as I'd snap things up

I could definitely make this quilt and well before Christmas, if you're not sorted yet. I have made my own DC's quilts, cushion covers, blinds, bunting etc all to a very high standard (it's a hobby, but I'm a perfectionist!) plus dolls, teddy bears, clothes.. all kinds of craft items really. I like to use natural fabrics for quilts and my items are pretty sturdy. I can't stand badly made or wonky stuff like unfortunately so many home-made craft items are.

If you're interested please email me at [email protected] x

Hi Starberries- sounds like littlewhitethings is your lady this time round! If I didn't have the craft fair coming up I'd definately have it ready for you but I hand quilt (and am also a perfectionist!) so I don't want to risk it time-wise.

Best of luck with your quilt search and the arrival of little Noah!
