Hi all... this is my very first posting to mumsnet - aren't you lucky!

I would like to find some local craft outlets to purchase goodies and with the intention to get involved in some classes or clubs. I live in the Docklands area of East London.

I've been browsing this site for awhile and making loads of notes from all your advice and have loads of sites bookmarked (thanks!).

Look forward to your replies and getting to know you on the site. Bella

What sort of crafts do you do kiwibelle? I live in the docklands too, I'm a member of a quilting group but I don't do any other crafts.

paper crafts like card making and I would like to try scrapbooking (hubby is a keen photographer). My daughter is also really keen and quite creative so we muck about a bit. I have never tried quilting but remember doing patchwork at primary school!

Hi there
I live near Greenwich and am quite keen to get something together, particularly scrapbooking (and card making, although I am not as good at that!).
CAT me if you want and we can see what can be done.

I live in East London (Mile End), but I knit, I don't do paper crafts.

That being said, Atlantis is a lovely shop to get art supplies. It's in Whitechapel.

Thanks NQC - I will hunt down Atlantis. I don't know Whitechapel very well.

Cheeky chops - I don't know what CAT is . I would love to do some scrapbooking (I never have) and would enjoy doing it with company. I am heading back to the classroom next week so it would have to be outside of school hours.
