it seems expensive for what it is

Could I make a cheaper version?

Worried about fraying/tying together

think you'd have to hem and make buttonholes in each square

£10 good value imo

It's out of stock tho'

I have some canvas but I think it too labour intensive

I could use zigzag scissors which would negate the need for hems (maybe?)

But is there an easy way to do eyelets?

You can get eyelet pliers like these:

www.toolspot.co.uk/product/budget-eyelet-pliers

I got mine from an online craft shop for about £10 I think.

Interesting

Is it a one manoeuvre process?

you could do metal eyelets with one of those punch things, perhaps?

KatyMac · 01/08/2010 17:20

I thought that

But the last time I did eyelets, you made a hole you lined everything up then you hit it with a hammer

I'm not sure I am up for all that [lazy]
