I want to knit my daughters dresses for christmas a bit like this one but without the hello kitty on it. I can't find a pattern for a straight, long-sleeved dress anywhere in ages 2-5.
Does anyone know of any or where I can can one?
TIA

Something along this line, may work.

I found it via Ravelry.

Strangely enough I have been looking for a newborn one, as bought a lovely jumper dress from Mamas and Papas (same colours as yours as well) and would love to knit one, but also found a lack of patterns.
Good luck

Should be easy enough to make a sweater pattern longer - you just need a round-necked jumper pattern. If you want to make it a bit a-line, you need to decide how wide you want the skirt to be (so say, if it were 40cm round, at a normal DK tension of 22st to 10cm you'd cast on 84cm to start with) and then decrease evenly up until you get to the waist. Do you have one you could copy (or surreptitiously go into H&M with a tape measure!)

TBH a lot of patterns like this are sleeveless because a longsleeved DK weight dress is quite warm. But I'm pretty sure Louisa Harding's Miss Bea series had a sleeveless version of an a-line dress.

OK (found on Ravelry)

Womans weekly Knitting Special, January 2010, has childs dress in Sirdar cotton DK, 1.5 up to age 4.

I think it's out of print but you could ring up back issues and beg?
