Is there anyone out there who knows what I am talking about?

I found a lovely website some time ago with loads of ideas for interesting and wholesome stuff to do with the dcs and now I have a new IMac, I can't find it and can't remember what it is called - something about hearts and homes a rather twee twiddly sounding name I think but it's just so not like that when you get into it. It has rufty toughty outdoor stuff and craft stuff and baking and lovely stuff on there. Some of the entries are written by the children in the family - a mum set it up. I got on to it from an article in the Telegraph a couple of years ago. Is there anyone out there who knows what I am talking about?

yogabird · 19/07/2010 23:00

nope! but thanks for the suggestion. My eyes are aching from googling random words that I associate with the site now. It was fab a kind of Boden clad bunch doing lovely things - great ideas of non fussy practical and interesting British things to do iykwim no talk of Moms and grade school!

Ahh - I shall ask on twitter for you.

yogabird · 19/07/2010 23:07

oooh! thanks. I signed up for Twitter ages ago and then couldn't work out how it actually worked and abandoned it Just had a look at Soulemama and the site I'm thinking of is much less commercial and just what's needed now the long summer hols loom!

I'm frantically going through all the blogs I subscribe to now to find out which one! The only blog I can think off of the top of my head is Jane Brocket's old blog (I think it was called Yarnstorm?)

yogabird · 19/07/2010 23:38

blog - yes, it is a blog, that sent me off in another direction and I found this www.persistingstars.com/blog/ which is like it in style (and quite interesting in its own right, but not it)

What a lovely site!

Love the idea of the cd sleeve biscuit pouches. My dc wanted to try a stall in front of the house (they won't get any customers - v.small village!) and they sound perfect.

yogabird · 20/07/2010 18:45

what a great site - it's not that but quite like it, more personal to a family and their children kind of a photo collection of great ideas. Anyone else out there with any idea of what I'm talking about?

Am bumping this for you as I want to know what the website is too!

Had a look in the back of "The Wonderful Weekend Book" as it looked like something that Elspeth Thompson might have recommended, but couldn't see anything there.

I think I know what you mean, wil have a mooch in my blog list, hang on.

Quality · 21/07/2010 14:05

Ach, it's not in any of the blogs I have bookmarked, will have a rummage through the rest fo my bookmakrs later for you!

abdnhiker · 21/07/2010 15:44

bumping because I'm interested too...

yogabird · 21/07/2010 18:41

one of the things they did was a beach collage with driftwood on a piece of wood, maybe in the shape of a fish. They have done outdoor stuff with knives and fire and baking and Christmas decorations and walks and just wholesome fun - so cross that I have lost all the bookmarked addresses that I had on my old pc and that was in it.
