Easy flowers from scraps...

So, I (and some very helpful friends) am making flowers out of scraps for my wedding. We're going for a kind of mismatched look, and it's not like they will be inspected up close, so they don't need to be perfect, just...flowery.

Any ideas? I'm thinking multicoloured felt will do some of them, and I have lots of little scraps of cotton and offcuts of lace to use.

So, quick, handsewn (I think some people are knitting, but they seem to know what they are doing...) and very easy flowers...I'm thinking gathering up a strip of cloth, then sewing it into a circle with something in the middle could be good, and maybe rolling something up with a jagged edge for a rose style thing...

have a look on flickr. i found loads of inspiration once i had the right search terms.

i use it quite a lot before starting any project now as some of the stuff is so inspiring and having people group stuff means its so easy to find more of the same.

do you mean with a stem BTW, or just the actual flower bit?

I think both...it all depends on how many I end up with, but ideally a bouquet plus flowers in the hair of me and the bridesmaids.
