Thankyou geekgirl, As a mum of a child with DS it's great to see such a positive message regarding testing and having a child with down's especially from the medical side .
When DS was diagnosed prenatally my hospital made sure that I had this kind if information and got to speak to a pediatrician about the baby I would be having as opposed to just the condition. I was able to ask about other parents, families and the sorts of challenges they faced they were brilliant.
It's a shame information such as this is not standard in hospitals after diagnosis (such as in the USA where it is legally required now) or even better before parents decide to test.
