Fetal Megacystisis - 12 week scan

Has anyone had fetal megacystis suspected at their 12 week scan? I’ve got a follow up with fetal medicine for another scan but there’s a clear defect with baby’s abdomen but they can’t decide if it’s kidneys, abdominal wall or umbilical.

No experience of this particular thing being picked up but I have had something picked up at the 12 week anomaly scan twice and it’s not a gear experience is it?

When do you have your next scan?

It’s horrific isn’t it? As soon as I saw the scan I knew something was wrong and that feeling is just indescribable. I was referred urgently up to London and that’s happening on Tuesday morning thank goodness so only a few days wait

It’s not that long but it will probably feel long when you’re waiting. Try and do some things together. We found the obvious ones of going for walks or a meal together helpful. It doesn’t have to be somewhere fancy, just somewhere you can get some food and be out of the house together
