Has anyone had a private nipt test done and one of the rare trisomys have come back positive? I’ve shown the NHS and they’ve told me to ignore it 😬 has anyone had the same?

I would make a lot of noise if the NIPT is provided by a reliable source.
The trisomies are serious to test positive for. What is the advice from the clinic which did the test?

I had a private NIPT that came back as high risk, but my NHS took that seriously and offered extra monitoring/testing.

I work in fetal medicine...rare trisomies on NIPT are very often false positives. However, they aren't always and you should be offered a fetal medicine scan and consideration of an amniocentesis.

How are you getting along @Hlucinda? Have they offered anymore monitoring?
