Anyone got any it turned out fine stories, as this is my second time in a pregnancy having high test results. I just can't see me being lucky twice as my first was high risk for Edwards and patua 1/22 but was born healthy.

My risk with ds was 1:25. I had an amnio which didn't hurt and came back neg. DS is taking A'levels this year.

Not sure if this will help- but I had a similar risk for one of mine- and my mum said “Would you back a horse at those odds?” Made me look at it a little differently. There’s a much higher chance that everything will be fine than not.

I was 1/16 for DS2. Mostly due to my age (40). You can get genetic testing done from 10 weeks if you’re worried. DS is fine btw

Hi thanks guys, I've declined the invasive tests and going for a nipt test Monday. The screening nurse said I should have results in a week.

Hi, I just got a 1:17 for Downs. The NT measurements was 3.3mm which is just below the high cut off at 3.5mm. The screening midwife said my age being 40 along with this caused this figure, PAPP-A and HCG numbers were good. I had the NIPT last Friday so just waiting for the results, such a worry. I wish I’d had the NIPT done privately at 10 weeks.

Best of luck to you

My daughter had a an NT of 5mm, she had. 1 in 2 risk of down syndrome, baby is now 1 and doesnt have it

Just to update my NIPT came back low risk thankfully. It was done at a hospital in the southwest on the Friday, arrived at the testing centre Saturday and the screening midwife called with results Wednesday afternoon so much quicker turnaround than the 7-10 days. Best of luck to you and anyone in this position, the waiting is awful.

@effiehabb that's great news, I'm so glad it came back so quickly and your little one is low risk. Had mine done Monday morning no news yet hopefully I get the same results, the midwife said the same regarding my age so fingers crossed.

I know someone who screened high risk with 2 out of her 4 pregnancies- all fine both times.

I had a call from the screening midwife today and the nipt test came back low risk for all 3 thank god
