Hi I had a care plan appointment put in place I am currently 18 weeks , they said when I had the Down syndrome testing they found a high hormone in my placenta called Beta hCG they said this is associated with reduced placental function with baby with lower birth rate , the consultant said this doesn’t change the fact my baby is on the low risk scale with Down syndrome I’m 18 weeks currently. They said for me to take aspirin however I was on this all ready due to my mom having pre eclampsia with my little sister , has anyone else had this or heard of this I just feel a bit worried , they will see how she is on my 20weeks scan and said if anything is showing she is growing small I will have more scans :) x

I’m sorry you have this stress. I’m afraid I have no answer but didn’t want to read and run. I don’t know the details of your condition but I do know they are very cautious so if they are confident for you to wait for your 20 weeks scan then they aren’t too worried. The aspirin you are taking already will be doing the job they wanted it to. I know it’s worrying but hopefully you will get some reassurance at the 20 week scan x
