Hi all,
This is my very first post. I have never used forums, but this feels like such a lonely and scary journey and I found so many kind words around here that decided to give it a go.
I have done the combined test at 14+2 weeks (normal pregnancy), aged 34, I have a 1st born with 4yo now; the result came back as:
hCGB MoM: 3.1
NT: 3.0
I was given 1:11 chance for T21. I am now waiting for NIPT results, but I have to wait until next week. I do not want to lose hope but I certainly do not want to feed it either. In an attempt to try to understand why my hCGB is so high I turned the internet upside down, looking for answers. I did not find any explanation.
I was diagnosed w/ tongue cancer last year and had a surgery in December and a second one in February (6months ago). Part of my tongue + the lymph nodes of the left side neck were removed. I have read that treated patients still have high hCGB levels due to cell tissue reconstruction. But I find zero personal statements online or studies on this.
I am hoping someone here had similar results, or perhaps been in a similar health situation?
Thank you! <3
