Increased NT 5.2mm High Risk Pregnancy

With the 5.2mm I am high risk for Down Syndrome (1 in 16), Edwards Syndrome (1 in 85) and Pataus Syndrome (1 in 85).

I am booked in next week for Amniocentesis Test to confirm / rule out any abnormalities but we are sick with worry!

Has anyone had a high risk Nuchal Translucency of 5.2mm and had normal outcome and delivered a healthy baby?

Didn’t want to read and run. Good luck and hope all will be well

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, the fear is so overwhelming. There are so many positive outcomes out there though, make sure you read these to keep you going. I made a similar post to yours where others shared positive outcomes and I’m keeping it updated. I don’t know how to directly link my post but maybe if you search my username, or if you look in this Antenatal Tests topic it’s titled ‘High NT at 12 wk scan - CVS next’.
Take care x

Update💔

Initial twin pregnancy :-

12 week scan found one baby didn't make it and the other baby had an increased NT 5.2mm.

CVS results came back normal / clear which ruled out any syndromes.
We still continued to 18 weeks with little to none amniotic fluid and they found 2nd baby's Kidney's both covered in cysts which resulted in 2nd baby passing away - Kidney's were not working - August 2025.

Post Mortem was done on my baby, we found out it was a baby boy, he had Bilateral Multicystic Dysplastic Kidney (MCDK) which is a very serious condition where both kidneys are non-functional which often prevents survival.
They will forever be in our hearts, its been so difficult trying to understand and process what has happened💔.

I hope one day we get our little miracle rainbow baby🌈❤.
