Hiya everyone, I made a thread a few weeks ago about my consultant appt that left me feeling confused. It was about how I will need growth scans and a possible C section.
Fast forward a few weeks, I had my first growth scan last Thursday (28w4d) and the lovely sonographer started measuring baby boy, she said "oh baby has a big head", we laughed and thought nothing of it. She then said "oh and his tummy is quite big as well". She measured the fluid around him and mentioned that it was low. This was quite worrying for me as I'm a FTM, she said that I will need a glucose test as it looks as if I have GD.
I received my scan report and he was estimated to be 3lb4oz! Is that big for under 29 weeks? 😂And he is also measuring the 97th percentile.
All of this is new to me, so I don't fully understand it all. Instead of scans every 4 weeks, I now have them weekly for the foreseeable and I have another consultant appointment today.
Has anyone been in the same or similar boat? How did it play out for you? Is there anything I should prepare for etc?
I'm just slightly worried, especially about the fluid around baby
