Hi all,

waiting results from my NIPT. Our combined screening gave us high risk for trisomy 21. Just wanted to hear if there are other people with similar figures and what was the outcome?

free beta hcg 2.65 mom
papp-a mom 1.0
nt 2.6mm
maternal age 35

thanks in advance. The waiting is unbearable….

So sorry you’re going through this, I remember how unbearable the waiting was myself.
i have a good news story for you though - I had much worse bloods (hcg 7.7, pappa 0.27) and nt normal at 1.3. I was 41 and given greater than 1 in 2 chance. My little boy is 13 months and born without any abnormalities.
thinking of you and hope you get some answers soon x

Had high HCG and low Papp a for both my pregnancies at ages 34 and 37. First was 1-2500 ish and the second was 1-43! I had NIPT for second and came back fine.

both babies clear for all 3 trisomy.

fingers crossed for you!! Xx

What was your outcome @Poppana my bloods are very similar to you and I’m currently waiting NIPT results.

It’s an outdated calculation and causes so much stress! My second pregnancy was 0.16 papp-a, I was 28 and my bmi was higher as I put a lot of weight on very early on (currently pregnant with my 3rd) they scared me so much being a 1 - 82 chance of Edward’s / downs etc. They neglected to inform me it was linked to the very low Papp-a which I would have understood as I had low Papp-a with my first too. The week of waiting my DNA bloods was agonising, it’s ridiculous as the whole thing is outdated risk measures. I had two very healthy boys each time. Awaiting my screening again this time currently only 9.5 weeks xx
