Enlarged kidneys at 25 weeks, possible PUV

Hi. I'm really hoping someone has been through something similar and can share some stories/information.

At my 20 week anomaly scan it was picked up that my baby boy has enlarged kidneys, right kidney was 8mm, left kidney was 12mm. I was referred to fetal medicine and seen at 21 weeks (kidneys same size) and again yesterday at 25 weeks. Yesterday's scans caused great concern as the left kidney was a huge 41mm, right kidney was 7mm. I was seen today at The Heath Cardiff for an urgent specialist opinion.

Today's scan showed left kidney was 33mm. Amniotic fluid is low and the bladder is small. They talked us through possible PUV. I will be closely monitored for 2 weekly scans until delivery at hopefully full term.

We have left the appointment so scared as several options were discussed including kidney dialysis and transplant at 2 years old. He did say this is very worse case scenario but that is all we have heard. We won't know then kidney function until baby is born.

Sorry for the long message I just really want some advice if you've been through this. Thank you.
