3 Day bleed after Transvaginal scan

Hi, I had an internal scan 3 days ago and started brown spotting immediately after. I’m now bleeding a brown/ dark red colour and need to use a pad. I’m 6/7 weeks pregnant with twins.

I called my local maternity unit and they said if it gets any heavier then to call them back but there was no mention of miscarriage.

has anyone experienced this?

They wouldn't mention mc without examining you. If it's been three days and you're having to use a pad I'd say go back and get checked out. Fingers crossed for you x

My daughter bled a huge amount up to 9/10weeks with twins.

Successful pregnancy - they said early bleeding was quite common in a twin pregnancy.

After three days even if you aren't bleeding heavily, check for clots, especially clots bigger than a 10p piece.

Keep an eye on it, if it's a miscarriage at 6/7 weeks there will be at a minimum small clots or extreme bleeding. I lost two at that stage, one with almost no sign until everything came away at once. The second showed small clots by day three bleeding and got daily worse for another 3.

Hello, unfortunately I miscarried. I had light bleeding, sometimes nothing for 2/3 weeks. I had to have help to miscarry as the bleeding completely stopped. I hope you’re not going through that. All the best x
