We had our amniocentesis 2 weeks ago, our first set of results came back after 2 days but we’re still waiting for the second.. how long did everyone’s take to come back? Starting to stress!😬

Hi @Guest202402 our second set of results were a full 2 weeks from memory - have you heard anything further yet? The wait is so stressful 😞 Xx

@jmm499 still haven’t had anything! I phoned on Thursday afternoon, and I was told still no results but should be back by early next week😬 I’m going in for a heart echo on Tuesday, I’m just praying they’re back before then.

@Guest202402 gaaah, I’m sorry - the wait is absolutely excruciating. So hard to think of waiting even an extra hour, let alone day - and weekend! Really hope you hear something before your echo. I have heard of things taking longer - it depends on the progression of the cell culture I think. Did you have a raised NT measurement? X

@jmm499 thank you! We did yes 5.5, although they couldn’t get actual measurements of the baby and we weren’t offered the screening blood tests. When we went to fetal medicine, the highest measurement was 3.8, and all scans with them have been absolutely fine. so very confusing!
