CSV - How accurate are the rapid results?

Hi,

I had my CVS done last week and got my first results today, which are all clear :)

After my procedure, I was told that if the first results come clear they might not do the rest but on the phone today the midwife told me that, I will have to wait 2 more weeks for the full report.

I was feeling so many different emotions that I did not ask any questions and when I called back she was not available.

Now my questions are:

  • If they said they wouldn’t do the full testing and now they will, is this because they might have found something?
  • How likely it is to find something if the first results were clear? Did anyone have the rapid results clear and the full with something?

I hope my questions are clear and hope someone can help me.
