Is an amino more conclusive than a CVS?

A few posts from me at the moment...

Have had CVS and has come back as DS.

If I now request an amnio will that provide more information about severity and other potential issues?

Awaiting call back on Friday from hospital but it's hard to wait...

Both carry a 0.5% risk of miscarriage and are the same in terms of accuracy apart from a 1% chance of confined placental mosaicism with CVS where you get a mixture of normal and abnormal cells and then need to then have an amnio to see if the abnormal finding is just in the placenta or if it is also in the baby.
