Hi all, I have received a bit of a shock as my combined screening has come back as a 1 in 74 chance of down syndrome.

The baby is measuring at 11+5
BHCG-0.98
NT-2.6
PAPP-A: 0.86

My midwife said that the results are all in range and the reason why I was called back as I have a high NT for the gestational age. I have read many causes for high fluid behind the babies head such as viral infection and excess fluid. I had norovirus early on in the pregnancy and an early pregnancy scan revealed that I had a sac of fluid behind the sac. On the scan the sac of fluid had disappeared so I don't know if it did burst.

I had the NIPT yesterday after the hospital phoned me back the next day after my scan. They have been fantastic. I am just looking to see if anyone had been in the same boat. I had an early miscarriage in June and fell pregnant in August but I am so upset how hard it has been for me and all my friends have had such easy pregnancies. I have another 5 days until I have the results but my anxiety has got the best of me. I have a 98.7 % chance that it is not DS but can only focus on the 1.3% chance. Sending love to everyone who is going through the same as me.
