Hello everyone,

I wanted to post a positive news story to hopefully encourage and reassure anyone going through the same experience I just had. I read many many posts of the same subject on here and they stopped me going crazy.

I am 38, so if my partner. I'm 13 weeks pregnant after my first round of IVF. We were told after our 12 weeks can appointment baby was at a high risk for DS. The anatomy was normal- including the NT. Like most women with this result I had low PAPPA and high HCG. Sorry I can't remember the precise numbers.

We proceeded with the NHS NIPT (in london) results took 7 days, including the weekend. The hospital just called to say we are at a low risk. Obviously this is a massive relief. I am a perpetual pessimist but I had a weird blind faith feeling that everything would come back OK.

My heart goes out to anyone currently going through this difficult waiting time. Xx
