High nt fluid and bloods

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help or give me some hope. I’ve had 4 miscarriages in the last 2 years and now I am 12 weeks pregnant. I lost a twin in this pregnancy at 7.5 weeks. I did my nuchal scan and blood last week which came back high risk 1:2 for Edwards/Patau and 1:19 for Down syndrome. My nuchal fluid was 3.4mm which they flagged as high. They have booked me in at 15 weeks for amnio invasive test. I really hoped this was going to be a miracle pregnancy. It’s just so hard to wait and wonder. I can’t get nipt test due to twin pregnancy.

Is it possible the vanishing twin had influenced your bloods? Hence the results? So maybe there is nothing to worry about.

do you have low Papp-a? If it’s under 0.5 mom go to your midwife asap as you need aspirin and extra growth scans for the baby. Independent of DS risks, etc, this gives you risk for preeclampsia, still birth, iugr. And you need to best start at 12 weeks.

good luck with the cvs, try to distract yourself as much as possible in the meantime.

papp-a is one of the bloods they did at the combined test. Your midwife will have the results if you don’t. Maybe hey are waiting to see the cvs results, but if you wait that long you won’t get the benefits for your baby.

i did ask the question to the consultant but he said the bloods would be coming from the bigger twin so it would be very unlikely. Just found out fluid has gone up to 4.8mm in a week and a possible clubfoot on the right foot - which I know aren’t good signs. I’ll ask the consultant about the papa-a, he never told me to take any medicine.

I had a NIPT test with twins, it came back low risk for both. My fold on twin 2 was 3.10 & I’m over 35 which put me as high risk for DS
