Hi,
just looking for someone with experience of having their nuchal fold measuring more than 6mm? The sonographer advised that everything else was all good, all other measurements good and babies heart, kidneys etc are all perfect. I’ve never had any tests done to check if there was a risk of Down’s syndrome as it does not make a difference to me or my partner. Just more so looking for any advice/experience of this? Have another scan on Thursday to check with doctor as sonographer did advise it could just be the position baby was in. Any advice/reassurance would be lovely 😊

Hi just wondered what the outcome of this was? I am going through this now at 12 weeks. Have my first set of tests on Tuesday. Really don’t know what to expect and don’t know if I’m overreacting by taking a few days off work to come to terms with it?

Hope whatever the outcome was you are ok. Such a difficult thing to be told ❤️

Hiya!
so sorry I’ve only just seen this!
we have been back twice for further checks, the 1st check (4days later) they remeasured the Nuchal fold and advise it was only 6.1mm & they explained baby could just have a fat neck… apparently I have one too 😂 she also explained there is 16% chance of downs.
2nd check, we went for a heart scan and everything was absolutely fine. Been for many growth scans and she is measuring quite big and nothing else has been measured about downs. I never went ahead with any further testing. I am 3 weeks away from birth so I’m sure we will see when she is born.
hope you’re doing well ❤️

Just for any reassurance on this, my daughter was born on 02/05/2023 weighing 8lb8.5oz, absolutely perfect and no sign of Down syndrome. 💕
