Enlarged Aorta

Hi everyone,

I have just had my 20 week anomaly scan and the sonographer has made a referral for me to attend an appointment at St George's Hospital to have a re-scan done by a cardiologist as the sonographer has reported that my baby's aorta is slightly enlarged.

Has anyone else had any experience with this? What should I be preparing myself for? 🙁🙁

@navigatingmy20s I am due on nov end. Exactly I am nervous before every scan. I am going to MFM every3-4 weeks for growth scan and arrota measurement. She don’t seems concerned at all just said we will get clear results postnatal. But she also never mentioned that it could be just normal variations. So far it looks good as there is no structural issue or anything.

hey @Sendy21

how are you and baby getting on? hope everything is ok! 😊

had an appointment in feb and my little ones aorta is measuring fine now! also one of her holes closed up on its own and the other that's remaining is very small.

have been told they will get us back in for another look in 2 years! 😊
