Hello Mums ❤️

I’m not sure where to start here. Maybe looking for anyone that have been in a similar situation.

I was scanned at 8 weeks due to persistent bleeding, the doctor could see blood clots around the outside of the baby’s sac but was not concerned. The bleeding continued for another 3 weeks so at 11 weeks I was scanned again. They picked up that baby’s bowels were outside of the baby and the fluid behind baby’s neck was significantly higher but they would not give me a measurement as I was 11 weeks. At 12 weeks a doctor confirmed both baby’s bowels and stomach was outside of the baby and the NT was 9.4mm. At this point the doctor suggested ending the pregnancy as I was given a 15% chance of carrying to full term and an even lower percentage of baby surviving past a couple of hours. I was brought back in the day after my 12 week scan and had a CVS test done. Today I had a call from my consultant to say the test was clear for Down syndrome, Edward syndrome and patau syndrome. On Tuesday the fetal medical team had basically convinced me that by the end of the week/start of next week I would be having a TFMR. Both my husband and I were absolutely devastated, this is our second child and we have tried so hard to conceive this time. The doctors are so confused and still don’t see this as good news we have to go back in on Monday to have another meeting with the fetal medical team.

I know no one can give me any answers but i am just looking to see if anyone has been in a similar situation?

Thank you so much in advance. ❤️

Hi, sorry I haven't had experience of what you are going through but I just want to ask how you are?
I had a baby born with a congenital defect which was detected in pregnancy and I was referred to fetal medicine so I can relate to how worrying it is and how hard it is to wait for answers.
I hope your appointment on Monday goes well and you can get some clarity about the situation. I'll be thinking of you.

@Cantchoosename thank you so much for replying ❤️ I feel all over the place just now, I can’t remember the last time I slept ☹️. I know the outcome isn’t looking great for us due to the volume of fluid and not being able to announce our pregnancy is hard. I have 3 weddings coming up and I’m really starting to show ☹️ I have a little 17 month old who is keeping me going just now who I am so so thankful for ❤️ How is your little one now ? Thank you so much for your kind words. Everyones support and kind words are what’s really getting me through this ❤️ Xxx

My little one is okay thanks. They are waiting for heart surgery. We found out they had a serious heart problem during pregnancy and it was the most stressful and overwhelming time. It sounds like you have people supporting you which is good. I found my pregnancy hard to talk about with others after I found out. How are you doing? Did you go back to fetal medicine? Hope the appointment went better than you expected x

@Cantchoosename I am so glad your little one is ok ❤️‍🩹 I am sending every hope and prayer to you for the heart surgery. I just know you have a little fighter on your hands that will get through all of this ❤️‍🩹
All of our CVS test results came back clear and the doctors were sounding positive for the first time this pregnancy but sadly there was no heartbeat at our scan and I was brought in to deliver my darling little angel boy on Wednesday 😔 xxxx

Oh I am so sorry to hear this @Sineadb88. This must be so incredibly hard for you and family. I hope you are looking after yourself as well as you can. I know nothing I say will make anything any better but I am thinking of you. You will get through this, just take one day at a time x
