Hi all- I had my 12 week scan today and the technician had a hard time getting the measurements but she put them down as 2.7, 3.2 and 3.5 - she said this was concerning and that I woukd have a call in relation to the next steps.

Feeling very lost, does anybody have any experience of this?

My 12 week scan was 3.2. I was told that was fine and that the cut off for investigation was 3.5. Everything was fine. I have a healthy 8 month old!

I know it’s hard but sit tight for the call - did they also take blood as part of the screening process? If you do come back as high risk for any conditions then there will be lots of options in terms of further testing. Your measurements are borderline (some are clearly within the normal zone) so please remember that a majority of babies with measurements similar to this go on to be perfectly healthy. xx

Thank you both, the hospital called with the results of the combines test and they said that they came in at low risk for Downs, E&P but that the FMU will still scan me on Monday - feel a bit better but feels as though they are still concerned xx

The FMU team will give you a much more detailed scan and get more accurate measurements for you. I am sure that it will be reassuring more than anything and they will be able to give a much clearer picture of what’s going on. My experience with the FMU has been brilliant. xxx

I would try not to worry which I know is easier said than done. I have a healthy three month old boy who had a high nt score of 6.8.

Hi our NT was 4mm and we have a healthy 5month old. Totally get your worry and I’m sure everything will be fine. Our boys NT resolved by 16 weeks when we had a consultant scan.

Thank you all for taking the time to message I am starting to feel a little less anxious. The FMU were really lovely and I think I will just have a 16 week scan xx
