Hello! 1st NIPT drawn at 10+6, results back today at 12+1. Negative for DS and the major chromosome issues and sex determined. However, they say I need a redraw on the microdeletions (“no result”) for quality control reasons. My fetal fraction is high and the results were not drawn too early.
I’ve been crying all afternoon and my anxiety has hit the limit. I managed to push for a redraw tomorrow but this is another 1-2 weeks of sleepless nights waiting results.
I can’t find anything online where someone has been in the same situation.
I pushed the lab for more answers and this was the response on the no result: “Regarding the microdeletions, Safety 21 have clarified that it is likely that there wasn't enough useable DNA to run the test. The test for microdeletions is more complex than the other two tests, and they need longer samples of DNA.”
