I've just been told my baby has 1 in 2 risk of having DS AND 1 in 29 Edwards/Patt

Don't know what to think 😔

Sorry to hear this OP. I had a 1:5 result for downs a few years ago, had CVS and all was clear. Child is now OK. Hope you get a clear result, will be thinking of you x

I've read so many threads on here and the comments generally reflect the statistics which are 50/50. I've been feeling surprisingly philosophical about things. What will be will be ...

Thank you. I got referred from the cvs for an amino so have to wait again😞

Just an update, I'm still waiting for amniocentesis later this week. I chose this rather than CVS due to the chance of Mosaicism.

Waiting is hard and I'm starting to feel the baby move now.

My PAPP -A was 0.1

Went for my 16 week appointment and the midwife told me to come back after the amnio results so didn't even get to hear the heartbeat.

God I have been there. The waiting is utter hell. Wailing on the kitchen floor making deals with the devil type scenario. You will be fine OP. Whatever happens, you are stronger than you think. Just hang in there. It helped me to fight the dark thoughts with positive ones. My mantra was "I will make it ok" that was in response to 1000 what if's.

Now, we walk in fields of gold. Baby was fine but it took me a long time to accept that.

Everything crossed for you. Flowers

Thank you xx

I've told myself whatever happens in the end i will be ok.

I'm just dreading if it's the worst news and the baby being taken from my body.

Oh, it's so hard! My heart goes with you and everyone else who has been in this horrible situation.
Not much left! Stay strong!
Wishing you the best of luck xx
