This is my first post, I hope this is the right section!
I went for an early scan last week at 5w5d pregnant. My symptoms disappeared for a few days so I was worried as I've had a couple of losses before.
The found a very large gestational sac at 26mm, a normal yolk sac and a fetal pole at 3.3mm with a heartbeat.
The sonographer told me to keep an open mind about this pregnancy as it doesn't look very normal to have such a large gestational sac and a crl that measures 1-2 days behind.
I am confused too, I can't find anything about a gestational sac that is too large for embryo, I know there is a lot of talk about the opposite issue but nothing for this extreme situation. By gestational sac I measure 7w and by crl 5.5w.
My hcg was incredibly high too at over 30000 at 5w2d which is also weird. Progesterone at 92 seems normal.
Anyone else in a similar situation? Would be good to hear of similar experiences or if you have ever heard of this. I'm almost giving up on this little one already and it's making me sad and anxious.
