Hello,
Thank you for reading my thread.

I had a 12 week scan + blood test on Wednesday 12th of August. It is now 18th of August. If my results came back as righ risk, would they have let me know by now?

Thanks so much !

It's very difficult to say, it really depends on so many things. Call them and ask?

islandislandisland · 18/08/2020 13:05

I was told the results letter could take a while but they would definitely call me within 3 days if something were wrong, but I think that depends on your trust. If it's bothering you call and ask I reckon.

ScarMatty · 18/08/2020 13:06

I think I waited a good 2 weeks until I got the letter

Emmmie · 18/08/2020 13:17

ScarMatty,
Thank you for replying. You only get a letter if everything is fine. If it is not, they call you within 3 days of the test being completed.

Islandislandisland , yes, I did read the same on their website. About calling, I agree that this would be the most reasonable thing to do. However, I have a crippling anxiety when it comes to these test results, so I am quietly hoping to get some good news soon. 🙂

@Emmmie

Well then I think you've answered your own question; they would've called you within 3 days, they haven't, so I would guess everything is fine

However, if you are anxious then just pop them a call

momofasweetboy2018 · 18/08/2020 14:37

Can I ask please, who do you have to call to find out the results? Is it GP practice or someone else? Thank you.

islandislandisland · 18/08/2020 15:00

I'd ring your midwife or the antenatal department. Not sure if your GP gets them.

momofasweetboy2018 · 18/08/2020 15:20

@islandislandisland thank you :)

Emmmie · 20/08/2020 12:22

I got the results in the post today (about a week after my blood test) - low risk🙂

Thank you all for your input. 😊

If you haven't heard anything by now, by phone, I would be pretty confident that's good news, OP....and you can just wait for your letter now.

Somethingsnappy · 20/08/2020 12:24

Cross post! Great news, OP!

Emmmie · 20/08/2020 21:42

Somethingsnappy thank you! Yes, I got 1:2830 for Down Syndrome and 1:23879 for Edward's/Patau's. At 40 years of age, I am very happy with these results 🙂
