NIPT Results taking ages

Is anyone finding NIPT Panorama testing by Natera is taking ages?

I had my blood test on Monday 3rd August and my clinic in the West Midlands said 7-10 calendar days for results but today is day 15 and still nothing!

If I had known the clinic sent the samples to America I would have decided to go elsewhere but only found out once I had the test/paid

Getting really twitch as I'm having twins and they were too wriggly at the 12 week scan to be able to do the NT measurement so can't have the usual combined test

I had mine on the 4th and finally got my results yesterday. You could try calling the clinic you had the test and see what they say?

@BuffaloMozzerella

Thanks for your reply yes have been ringing them most days since last week 😬 - there was an email apparently on Friday to say there would be a delay of 2-3 calendar days so results SHOULD have been overnight but the clinic is now saying the website has gone back to saying still processing the results

I've had 5 miscarriages before and just finding the wait so incredibly hard especially as couldn't get the NT measurements last week

That's so frustrating for you and of course you are worrying. I'm so sorry about your miscarriages, that must make it so much harderThanks

I was also getting twitchy about the delay as when I had it with my last pregnancy it only took a week, and had started thinking things like - maybe it's taking longer because there is something - and stuff like that. However it wasn't the case so that was just my worried mind.

When I phoned my clinic told me it would be 10 working days, so if you add on a delay of 2-3 days it would be 12/13 working days, so hopefully you should hear Weds/Thursday this week?

Should say 'something wrong' in the second para

Clinic just ring back and now they've said there was insufficient DNA so got to have the test redone! Means another 2 week wait! Feeling really annoyed and upset now x

Oh god how annoying. I'm so sorry.

I had the same and unfortunately the redraw also came back last week with the same problem (just to prepare you for the possibility). I've been advised to wait until 20wks now if I want a third attempt. I've gave up and did NHS screening at 14wks (just waiting for results now).

@MaryShelley1818

I decided to pay privately for the NT and combined screening today which obviously would Normally be free on the NHS but because both babies wouldn't sit still at the 12 week scan and the NHS apparently has a policy of only trying twice to get the NT measurement before writing them off and only offering a basic quad test.

Anyway the private clinic were lovely and did the NT done this afternoon and both measured within the normal range and they did a detailed check of the heart and nasal Bones and said visually they would put me at low risk so just got to wait for the blood test result in 3 days

I did also do the redraw for the NIPT so if it comes back No result again at least I'll get a refund!

Very stressful day but feel a bit better that the twins have been checked again and I got the NT

That's brilliant news that you were able to do both.
I was hysterical during my scan on Friday, sobbed my heart out, but she really reassured me and NT measured 1.5mm so I believe that's very good.
I'm still nervous in case I get a call though as I'm 42 so know that will push the risk factor up. All just relying on these blood test results now.

We've been offered free redraw at 20wks or £330 refund (out of £400) so just waiting to see what tomorrow brings. If low risk will take refund. Harmony was fantastic my first pregnancy but unfortunately caused me 5weeks of stress and anxiety this time.

Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

Good luck for the redraw! I had the Panorama last week and whilst I am in the US, I’m nowhere near California where their lab is (well over 2000 miles away!) and the results only took 4 days despite my doctor’s office saying it would take 10. So things are maybe moving a bit quicker now! Fingers crossed for you but if the scan looked good hopefully you can rest easy whilst you wait.
