No EDD given at dating scan?

Hi, I had my 12 week dating scan on Christmas Eve and so happy to find out we are expecting twins. I have a follow up appointment this week with a multiple birth consultant with another scan.
At the dating scan my sonographer didn’t give an EDD other than mid July but will be earlier as they are twins - is this common not to have an EDD following dating scan?

I’ve never heard of an EDD not being given at a dating scan, assuming you’re in the U.K. and it was an NHS scan. Is there definitely nothing written on your paperwork?

Yes it was my NHS scan in Scotland. I did think it a bit strange

I have no idea because I've no experience of twins, but could it be if one is slightly bigger and one slightly smaller that they can't give one date, like they would with the measurements from one baby?
