Anyone relocated to U.K. during pregnancy? How to set up scans etc?

Howdy, 1st pregnancy, currently 5weeks and due to relocate the the U.K. around the 10 week mark- assuming all goes well until then of course.

Wondering if anyone has moved to U.K. at a similar earlyish point and how they dealt with disjointed medical care? Will be due 12 week scan shortly after arriving in the U.K. but of course can’t get to U.K. GP or into U.K. system for the next 5 weeks.

I’m Hoping not to have any early scans where I currently live (Hong Kong) as my husband already in U.K. and don’t want to see baby for the first time without him, though at six weeks will report for antenatal appointment with OBGYN here, and already on pregnacare vitamins, going to book dentists, diet exercise etc all per usual advice. Not, to my knowledge, in an at risk group - 32, normal BMI, clean bill of health, so am presuming that no need to run to OBGYN immediately upon BFP?

Not 100% sure what to do next — any advice?

Could your DH register you at the GP surgery? In our area we have to self refer via a link on a website. They then ring/text to make your first app. Your husband could do this or find out what the policy is in your area so you could have a midwife appointment for when you arrive?

I moved back at start of 3rd trimester, registered with gp and set up midwife appt on registering. Brought all my docs with me. Got a bonus scan as it on UK system 😀.No issues at all to sort.
