Hi all,

Went to see midwife today for 32 week check up and she’s noticed a drop in growth. Last two check ups were fine, baby was growing a nice curve but today dropped a fair bit. Cause for concern or?? I am having a scan this Saturday to check.

Last two scans midwife measured bump whilst I was on floor, then today bump was measured on the bed where I was raised a bit. Maybe that’s the reason?? Am still a bit worried though! Has anyone else experienced this?

I would hold off on worrying until after your scan. If the midwife is sending you for a scan on Saturday and not immediately, I’d take that as a sign that they’re being cautious but aren’t highly concerned - and I would trust them! When I was pregnant with DS there was one week where my bump appeared to have shrunk... Obviously it hadn’t really and it was probably to do with who was measuring and how the baby was positioned. The next week we were back on track and DS was born a healthy size!

Reassuring to hear- not sure how accurate these growth charts are!
