Hi all,

Hoping to find some reassurance on here.

Had our dating scan today and it was 3.6MM NT so awaiting combined result from bloods but midwife was really negative. I’m 25, healthy, no family history of conditions on either side and now just losing my mind with worry.

Baby was wriggling lots with a good heartbeat, facial bones all present, stomach and brain looking normal as well as limbs xxx

Hi op. Just to give you some positive info. My twin 2 had an increased NT at my 12 week scan, it was actually 6.1mm. So really quite alarming and we were taken to the 'room of doom' and given the talk about what it was likely to mean. Apparently he may have given up by the time we had our next scan. We were referred to Fetal Medicine Unit. Well I can safely say they were wrong and my twins are 2.5y now and sat eating their tea as we speak, nothing wrong with either of them. Sometimes they get these things wrong and I hope it's the same for you. Keep us posted x

Such a worrying time - I hope you get answers from the full results soon.

My daughter had an NT measurement of 5. something and like poster above was given a very bleak outlook - all turned out well though and she was born perfectly healthy.

Fingers crossed for you x
