Choroid Plexus Cysts And Talipes in one foot

Hi all,

I went for a scan at 17 weeks (doing private so chose to have scans every 3 weeks as I am the panicky type) and everything was fine with the baby (measurements etc) apart from one of her feet as the Dr suspected she could have talipes.
My fiancée’s granny had it so we were not very worried as this tends to run in families.

Went to the 20 week scan yesterday and all baby measurements came back fine (measuring even ahead of expected, no clenched hands, very active baby) no other physical issues apart from Talipes being confirmed in one Foot, however, Dr also found a CPC on the baby’s brain 😢

Anybody with a similar story? I am going back next week for a follow up scan and then possible amnio but I am quite worried right now. Dr didn’t even mention the possibility or Edwards but I decided to Google about it when I came home and found loads of information (not sure that was a good idea...).

Hi Clari how are you doing?

Have you had anymore scans?
My ds had CPC at the 20 week scan as well, they had disapeared by 28 weeks. He also had small femurs, very large tummy, excess amniotic fluid and higher than average nuchal. Like you I had a lot of scans nhs and private. The Fetal Medical centre in London was very good.
Luckily he was born healthy just with a large tummy ( which he still has) and short legs (which are now average) and doesnt have any health issues. Hope you are ok.

Hi Gedge! Thank you for your message. I actually went for another scan last week and ended up having an amnio. Amnio results came back 2 days ago and no trisomy detected 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Still a bit drained from all the worrying but now J can enjoy the rest of the pregnancy ❤️

Hi OP. Just to say that my twin 2 has talipes in both feet. Feel free to ask anything if you want to. But don't worry about it, my son is 2 now and feet are fully corrected and perfect!

Hi mintchick. Thank you! I read a lot about talipes and I am super positive about the outcome and the treatment available. Glad our know that your son is healthy and perfect Smile
