NT measurement at 11+4

Hi

I had my dating scan this week and opted to test for trisomies.

My NT measurement was 0.9mm

I’ve been looking online and have seen that there are concerns when it’s thick but I also saw that the ‘normal’ range was 1.2mm to 3.3mm.

Does anyone know if having a lower than average measurement is indicative of anything?

The sonographer or midwife didn’t mention any concerns but I’m slightly concerned that it’s below what’s considered normal.

Thank you

I not 100% sure but I think it's only problem if it's thicker coz it can indicate downs among other chromosomal abnormalities - that's what happened with my last scan ( thicker than normal) and baby also had a genetic condition which was worse that downs so we had to have TFMR at 12 weeks - I wouldn't worry you can usually tell in the scan if there is something wrong!!

It’s fine, it measures what it measures.
So 11+2 baby was probably about 45-47 mm so most of the time the NT is about 1mm. If you were 13+4 the NT normally comes out about 2-2.4 mm ish.
Nothing wrong with 0.9 mm as a individual measurement - obviously it’s combined screening so needs to go with baby’s crl, your bloods, weight, ethnicity and weight.
