What to expect at 12 week scan

I was just wondering what to expect?

Hi @peachesarenom we had some confusion over lmp dates so at our 12 weeks scan my baby was actually dated as 14weeks, it was such a relief to finally know! The sonographer took measurements of the baby for the nuchal translucency tests, this took some time as the baby was initially lying awkwardly and then wouldn't stop moving! It was amazing to see the scan & see it moving around in there. I was then sent to meet the midwife and have my bloods taken for further testing (risk for genetic abnormalities) and discussed my general health. It was an amazing experience, making it all very real! Just remember to go with a full bladder & good luck x
