Hi
I was just wondering if there’s anyone who has undergone a CVS test at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in London and what your experiences with the hospital are? Thank you.

I had an amnio there at 22wks and it was fine. Had a detailed scan first, then the amnio which they took their time with and were very reassuring during. It was a senior junior doctor (if you know what I mean) rather than a consultant but she was lovely. There was a midwife present as well to help. They have some rooms overlooking the eye\river to sit in afterwards for a bit until I felt ok to leave.

The waiting room in fetal medicine is quite small and crowded but not the worst I have been in.

I did have to chase for results (both the 3 day quick results and the full karotype) as I didn't hear in the timeline we were told (for the 3 day results we really wanted to know as we were coming up to 24weeks) but we were given a number to ring. It was a little anxious but not too bad.
