Down score at 1:4000

Hi, we just got our letter with our combined test result and the score 1:4000, I am 36.
I had ds at 33 his risk was 1:100000 and my dd at 30 and her score was 1:40000. I know my score is low risk but is it so much higher because of my age? Should I worry?

Wow you have had impressive scores!
When I had the test in 2014 aged 24 it was 1:3500ish. I wouldn't worry with that score from this pregnancy.

That's a pretty healthy score! Imagine if you hadn't had the other results, 1:4000 is great!

I (at 34) had a score of 1:1200 which I thought was awesome until I read what other people were! I didn't read DS2's. Just got my husband to open the envelope and say "ok" or "not ok". I still have never asked him!

You have nothing to worry about.

I really don't know why on earth you'd be worried about that. It's far lower risk than your age based risk alone.

Think- of 4000 women all together having a child (enough to fill quite a few primary schools), only one of them will have DS, very low chance.

Thank you ladies, I had a think and not worried now. I was thinking about may be doing harmony test but I think that is also not for sure... I also looked at my age related risk score and it really does go 3 times higher for 36 year old compare to 30 year old.
