Anyone else carrying a c cam baby?

Went to the specialist today who has confirmed baby has a c cam in his lower left lung lobe. Wondering if anyone else out there is also going through this?

I have no experience of this diagnosis. Have you had any contact with arc? They are a wonderful charity that may well be able to be more helpful to chat to than people here. They will be able to find someone with the same or similar experience for you to chat with or email.

Thank you. I don't think it's very common but thankfully the outcome is looking more positive than first thought, I have found a couple of great Facebook groups which have been really helpful with understanding a bit more.

hello, sorry you're going through this worrying time. just wanted to share, in my last pregnancy my DS had the same diagnosis as your baby - discovered at the 20wk scan. we were referred to a specialist at the John Radcliffe in Oxford, where they monitored it. added complication for us was a risk of my delivering early (as had a previous prem baby). my waters went at 30wks, and he was delivered at 31wks via emergency section + due to the potential respiratory problems. he thankfully was able to breathe on his own and only needed minimal oxygen during his time in special care. we had a follow ct scan at the Radcliffe when he was 12wks old, and the results came back clear - the ccam had disappeared / righted itself. while I do believe there was a problem, I think sometimes our modern scans are so hi tech that they pick up things that sometimes, unnoticed, would sort themselves out! Thanks for sharing your story :) we have our next scan on Friday for measurements and we are being seen at the Rosie hospital on Cambridge. His ccam is quite large but his cvr is low so the team are hopeful.
