abnormalities at 20wk scan

hi

i have just had my 20 week scan and we discovered our baby has a few abnormalities.

The one's that arent a huge concern are a slight curve in the spine and two club feet.

The main concern is the right leg has not developed properly plus the fact the baby has all of these things.

everything else including brain heart and kidneys all look normal and healthy.

has anyone has anything similar and what was the outcome? we are having an amnio on tuesday to rule our chromosomal things but the dr did think it wasnt a chromosomal thing.

How did it go gingerbreadmam? x

the amnio was absolutely fine not what i expected at all. as a lot of others say i didnt find it painful more weird. when it went through the womb i assume it felt like and electric shock and that was the worst part.

ive felt well since too, dont think theres any need but spent the rest of the day in bed and thats my intentions for today too luckilyhavelotsofcheeseytvtocatchupon should have results tomorrow.

theyre not expecting anything to show on the amnio, a very detailed scan was done yesterday where we got to see everything and some 3d stuff. i think the thoughts are its just a random thing that has happened. i do have an amniotic shelf which could have contributed to the clubfeet / spine but it wouldnt have caused the issues with the right leg.

all the same problems are there we already knew about but everything else is normal and healthy.

thanks for asking Thanks

Happy days! So pleased. DD1 has SN, a brain disorder, so not as 'physical' as your baby, but although life has challenges, I've gained far more than I've lost. Flowers
