I had booking in yesterday and opted for nt test. I think I'd zoned out when she was talking to me about results. Im sure she said by text - but is this after scan or will I need bloods at a later date? Or am I really mixed up?
I'm quite anxious due to previous miscarriages and want to wait until results b4 telling people. Thanks.

If it's the Nuchal Translucency test its done at the scan, it'll then be combined with the blood results and you'll get a letter through the post.

I got all my results in the post about a week later.

They call you if you're considered high risk in my trust.

It varies among hospitals. Most send by post in ~3 weeks, if low risk, or call in ~ 1 week if high risk. Some (but rarely) do bloods onsite and have the results sooner.

Thanks for the replies. I wonder what they are going to text me then? That's what happens when they're running an hour over and you need your lunch!

I was high risk (1:32) and received a letter almost a fortnight after the test. Was told at time I would get a phone call if high risk within a few days but it never happened that way. That was in NHS Lanarkshire

They called me around 3 days later. 1 in 5 for DS.

I got my blood results after 5 days as my risk was very high.
An appointment was made for the following day and I had CVS within the hour.
If your result is low risk then you will get it in the post after 2 weeks.
