7+ week scan seen sac no yolk?

Hello everyone.
I would like some advice as to if this has happened to anyone and what results they had.

I had an early scan today. And baby too small to detect via tummy so had an internal scan done.
Midwife then tells me she can see the sac, it has grown since my last scan 2 weeks ago. But today she couldn't see the yolk/baby. She also said that it still quite early and baby could be hiding! Otherwise there is a chance I could be going through a misscarrige. I haven't felt anything alarming. Mostly cramping and twings. Super tired and back ache and nausea. (No vomiting)
So what are chances for baby?
This is my 2nd and never felt this way before.
Advice please?
Thank you
XxBlush

Unless your dates are wrong (did you have regular cycles?), you should usually be able to see see something reasonably clearly at 7 weeks).
Did they do bloods?
Are you going back next week to be rescanned?

Thinking of you, hope you see something on a scan soon. X

If It is truly a 7week pregnancy and a sac eas already visible 2 weeks ago, it starts to look worryingly like blighted ovum. But you never know until there have been two scans with no change in between, until that moment hope lives. Visit misdiagnosed miscarriage site, there are lots of happy end stories of unexpected scan results.

This happened to me, and a fetal pole DID appear around the 8 week mark. My dates weren't wrong either. Hang in there

They should do BETA blood tests. Two, 48 hours apart as the bloods can tell them alot about how the pregnancy is progressing. I had a very early scan at 4weeks and 2 days-my gp wanted to go by my LMP which would have made me nearly 7 weeks but I ovulated very late into a very long cycle and even know the night we conceived. The scan showed just a GS so they wanted me back two weeks later. That scan was at 6+3 by my dates. The baby measured 5+3 and heart beat was seen. I had betas done and they nearly tripled in the 48 hours. They explained to me that HCG will fall with miscarriage, not double with ectopic and double with an ongoing pregnancy.

I would demand an HCG beta test hun good luck x

At 6 weeks I had nothing but a sac, at 8 weeks 1 day I had a baby with a heartbeat and I'm 16 weeks now. The waiting is hell, it's horrible and cruel but Mumsnet really helped me get through it x

Sorry to be reading this. I went for a 2nd scan yesterday to be told the sac is still empty and they should be seeing a yolk sac at the very least. It seems it's an ovum blightum and they have told me to prepare for the worst. They have no hope, they are certain I will miscarry. I said no to the d&c. Having read the misdiagnosed miscarriage website, I feel a little positive.. I have a tilted uterus also. I'm going for another scan on the 21st but not holding out too much hope. I will see what happens then before I make my decision. Obviously i'm devastated.. I'm confused and really don't know what to think. I hope things turn out ok for you x
