A positive story from a bad NT

Hi, I just wanted to put up my positive experience after having a high risk of Downs given to me, as I know reading something like this would have helped me last Christmas when I was agonising with worry.

We had a nuchal reading of 3.5 at the 12 weeks scan. Bloods came back clear. But all taken into account, I was giving a 1:19 chance of Downs. This was quite high and felt incredibly frightening. Cue lots of tests up at Kings but mercifully a discharge by them at 20 weeks, as they could find nothing wrong - CVS normal, fetal heart monitoring fine etc.

Of course, I still worried up until the day I laid eyes on my daughter's face (and for a few weeks afterwards, truth be told, although I was reassured by everyone that she was absolutely fine). She is wonderfully healthy little baby of 5 months now, sleeping peacefully in her pram.

I hope this encourages someone on here, because I remember coming on desperately searching for some good news amongst all the fear. x
