Amnio was on Thursday, still no call

I had an amnio on Wednesday after a high risk (1 in 10) test. I was told we might hear on Friday for the intitial results, but no call.

I'm going mad not knowing. Would there be any reason why they wouldn't ring? Are they waiting for the full results?

Did anyone else have to wait this long?

Why not ring them?

coffeecoffeecoffee · 19/10/2010 13:44

I just thought if they knew something they'd have rung. I just can't think of anything else and have a sneaky suspicion that the reason they're not ringing is bad news.

Just ring them, maybe the paperwork went missing, maybe not enough paperwork gets generated if it is good news, hence why it goes missing so easily. You need the peace of mind.

I would ring them. They either havent got the results yet or they have been mislaid.

I don't think that a hospital would avoid ringing you if it was bad news.

I would ring too - exactly the same thing happened to me and I had to chase the results in the end. It does not mean bad news (it certainly didn't for us), in our case, they had just been overlooked.

Have rung. Will hear back before 5pm. This is torture.

No news is good news, they would've told you asap if there was anything wrong.

I completely feel your pain. I had CVS on Thursday and they told me to expect a call todya or tomorrow, so I am going slowly round the bend, staring at my phone like it is a bomb. Fingers are crossed for you.
