I really wouldn't mess with post natal depression. I know it's tough but you're better off going to the doctors and getting some real treatment as soon as possible.

Post natal depression is much more complex than normal depressions as it has a change in hormones, sleep deprivation and a huge life change in the mix and it can become severe really quick. It is common so the GP will have seen it loads of times before and hopefully will be able to get you the right help quick.

Hey there,
I have never tried GABA supplements, but another way to get the same kind of affect is by modifying your diet. If you have the time, watch this video on YouTube "Georgia Ede MD - What is nutritional and metabolic psychiatry #PHC2023".
The title is not so appealing but the content might be helpful. Basically the speaker is a psychiatrist and she lays out how diet can impact mood and mental health. It is clear and actually really interesting, and I found it really helpful.

Best of luck, and remember that you can and should talk to the people in your life, including your GP and health visitor, if you are not feeling great.
