To think that my MIL is a bit fab.

MIL came round yesterday to see the DD's and myself. She brought with her some of my fave sweets and some lovely cake and jelly moulds she found in her local charity shop as DD2 loves to bake. She also brought the DD"s a magnetic ABC and numbers toy from the charity shop that the girls love.

Then to top it all off she has taken our 2 dogs (my little old ladies lol) for a long weekend to her's and FIL's house to give me a break and to give them a break from being molested by the DD"s lol.

I have really seen a new side to MIL and when I think back I cringe about when I felt like I didn't like her. I just don't think I knew her IYSWIM.

that's lovely

Oh how lovely, lucky you. I had the most wonderful, fabulous "almost MIL" for 10 years; she would nearly, but not quite, have been worth marrying her son for. Unfortunately my real MIL is a bitch from hell, probably partly because I can't help comparing.

I do feel very lucky and fortunate, especially as you hear so many horror stories on here.

My mum on the other hand is a whole other thread lol.
